The Texas Rangers have activated outfielder Adolis Garcia from the injured list, it was announced today. To make room for him on the active roster, the Rangers have optioned outfielder Dustin Harris to AAA Round Rock.

Garcia has been sidelined with a quad strain since leaving the September 1 game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Garcia has slashed .235/.277/.408 this season in 513 plate appearances this year, though he slashed .368/.400/.632 in 40 plate appearances in the nine games he played in between his mid-August injured list stint and this most recent injured list stint. It was expected that Garcia would miss more time, but he has recovered more quickly than expected, and after a session in the batting cages yesterday pronounced himself good to go.
