Allegheny County police are investigating after a teenager was found dead at a house fire in Castle Shannon that detectives believe was intentionally set.

Shortly before 10 a.m. on Sunday, firefighters went to a report of a fire in a home on the 800 block of Corbett Drive.

First responders found two victims: a 19-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at the scene, and another woman who was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. The second victim’s name and age were not released.

It was not immediately clear how the 19-year-old died.

County homicide detectives took over the investigation, police said in a statement.

“Preliminary information shows the fire was intentionally set by a male known to the victims. That male is currently in police custody,” police said.
