Money can’t heal grief, but it can ease life a bit when everything falls apart. That’s what thousands of people felt when they came together to support Charlie Kirk’s family after his tragic death.

Kirk, a 31-year-old father of two and a familiar face in conservative circles, died on Wednesday after being shot while speaking at a debate at Utah Valley University. The crowd of more than 3,000 people watched in horror as a bullet struck him in the neck. His security team rushed him to a hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead soon after. Police captured the suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, two days later.
