Thomas Morstead was a fan favorite during his 12 years as the New Orleans Saints punter, and he was seen on the Saints sideline ahead of a Week 2 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

Morstead, who now the 49ers punter, returned to the Caesars Superdome for the first time since leaving the Saints after the 2020 season. The 39-year-old Morstead is a 17-year NFL veteran, and he greeted Saints fans before the start of Sunday's matchup against the 49ers at the Superdome.

Before the game, Morstead went over to talk with Saints fans who held a sign that said, "Welcome home Morstead."

The Saints social media team on X captured Morstead on the sideline before the game, who was heard saying, "give me a hug" to the videographer in the video below.
