SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Notre Dame Fighting Irish took a massive tumble in the latest Associated Press Top 25 college football poll , dropping from No. 8 to No. 24 after losing a heartbreaker to Texas A&M on Saturday night.
The Irish are now 0-2 on the season and their chances of making a repeat trip to the College Football Playoff are looking much slimmer, to say the very least.
According to the AP , they’re the first team since 1988 to stay in the Top 25 with an 0-2 record.
As for other regional teams in the poll, Indiana is No. 19 (up three spots after win vs. Indiana State) and Michigan is ranked No. 21 (up two spots after win vs. Central Michigan)
