The updated AP Poll was released on Sunday afternoon, and the Michigan Wolverines moved up to No. 21 after a massive blowout over Central Michigan, 63-3. It was a strong performance by the Wolverines who were without head coach Sherrone Moore for the first of a two-game suspension, and it resulted in Michigan scoring the highest point total in a game since 2016.
Elsewhere in the Big Ten, it was a pretty idle week as everyone handled business with relative ease, and Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, Illinois and Indiana all stayed put in their respective spots. USC also entered the rankings at No. 25, and Nebraska also received a handful of votes but remained unranked.
Around the NCAA, there were some major surprises as Notre Dame and Clemson each picked up their second loss of the season.
