RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - A puppy did not survive after being abandoned in a dumpster, and Richmond Animal Care and Control is seeking the person responsible.
According to a post on their Facebook page Friday, the dog was found soaking wet in a bag and wrapped in a T-shirt when they responded to the rescue call.
After providing medical attention to the dog, RACC unfortunately announced in another post that the puppy did not survive. The dog was found in a dumpster in the 400 block of Westover Hills Blvd around 5:40 p.m. by a concerned citizen who then wrapped the dog in a T-shirt until authorities arrived.
