Congresswoman Lisa McClain said “consequences need to happen” in regard to critics of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot last week while speaking to a college crowd in Utah.

The Republican from Macomb County’s Romeo was invited to reflect on Kirk’s legacy and impact on the world on “Fox News Live” Saturday when she made her remarks about Democrats and other outspoken opponents of Kirk.

Numerous workers have been fired for their comments on his death, among them MSNBC political analyst Matthew Dowd and a Middle Tennessee State University official.

“Action needs to happen and consequences need to happen or, unfortunately, this is not going to end,” McClain said.
