Although Jeremy Renner is just joining the Knives Out franchise with Wake Up Dead Man , it won’t be the first time Benoit Blanc has seen his face.

The 2x Oscar nominee recently addressed his meta casting in the upcoming third installment, which premieres Nov. 26 in select theaters and Dec. 12 on Netflix , after the 2022 sequel Glass Onion referenced a fake hot sauce brand launched by Renner.

“I wasn’t part of that discussion, but I know it was talked about it. I don’t know what they said,” Renner told Entertainment Weekly . “It’s hot sauce! It’s really good. Check it out!”

Renner clarified that he portrays Dr. Nat Sharp in Wake Up Dead Man , someone who has likely never tried Renning Hot!, the cheeky name of the fictional brand.
