Manchester City have dismissed a bar worker who wore a Manchester United shirt for their Premier League derby on Sunday.

Ahead of City's 3-0 win , a fan took to social media with an image of the worker on the concourse of block 315 at the Etihad Stadium.

The crest of their bitter rivals United could be seen on his shirt whilst he was serving customers before kick-off.

Other supporters expressed their annoyance on X, with one calling it a 'joke' and another asked 'How did he get there in the first place!'

The City Fan Support account later responded to a post which labelled it as an 'absolute joke', where they said: "Thank you for making us aware of this.

"We can confirm that this individual has now been removed from their position."
