It’s been five months since Scots College unveiled its $60 million faux baronial castle in a ceremony with military pageantry, highland dancing and a fireworks display that could rival the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

The John Cunningham Student Centre finally opened more than seven years after the private boys’ school first lodged plans to revamp its “deficient” Stevenson library to make way for a new student centre that would deliver “better educational and operational outcomes.”
