More personal care products from the manufacturer DermaRite Industries LLC have been voluntarily recalled due to potential contamination risk.

The initial recall was announced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Aug. 9, which included four products that were distributed nationwide.

Weeks later, DermaRite announced an expanded list of products on Aug. 27 that were recalled “out of an abundance of caution” due to a potential Burkholderia cepacia complex contamination.

The company shared an update about the recall in a Sept. 8 press release, which read in part, “Our team has been working diligently to assist impacted customers as a result of this voluntary product recall, and we are actively implementing measures to ensure resolution.”
