According to a news release from Kingston Police (KP) the Kingston Fall Fair was shut down early on Saturday evening after multiple incidents.

In a news release on Sunday, police said that at approximately 10:05 p.m. on Saturday, they were called to the Memorial Centre fairgrounds following a report of someone deploying bear spray into a crowd of people at the fall fair.

Coincidentally, a similar incident occurred at the fall fair in 2022.

When police arrived, officers found two individuals who had been sprayed by bear spray being treated by members of the Frontenac Paramedic Service. Their injuries were minor in nature and did not require further medical attention.
