More than a thousand people filled the pews and outer aisles of the Basilica at The National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton for Sunday morning Mass in honor of the 50th anniversary of Seton's canonization.

William Lori, Archbishop of Baltimore and vice president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, led the Mass in Emmitsburg and spoke of the life and significance of Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first American-born saint.
