Labour MP Graham Stringer has warned the Prime Minister 'needs to improve dramatically' otherwise the party is 'in for a rough time'.
The veteran Blackley and Middleton South MP said Sir Keir Starmer had 'made too many mistakes' during his seven months in Downing Street . It followed comments Mr Stringer made on Times Radio earlier on Sunday when he said the PM 'doesn't seem the have the basic skills that most politicians have'.
Sir Keir is an 'intelligent man', Mr Stringer said, but his lack of politic nous meant the government is 'fraying at the edges'. Speaking to the M.E.N. Mr Stringer said the PM's performance was 'not as good as it should be'.
