A Houston firefighter was rushed to a hospital after suffering a medical emergency on Sunday.

The incident happened as the firefighter was transporting a patient to HCA Kingwood.

The firefighter was admitted to the hospital in Kingwood and doctors had him transported to Memorial Hermann in the Medical Center.

The circumstances of the medical episode are not clear at this time. Houston Fire Department has not revealed the firefighter’s current condition.

“Please keep this member in your thoughts,” HFD said in a statement.
