Country music stars Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock are escalating an ongoing feud.
At the Born & Raised Festival in Pryor, Oklahoma, Bryan appeared to scale a barbed fence to confront Adcock, a fellow country singer who told Rolling Stone he doesn't think Bryan is "that great of a person."
In the video, the "Something in the Orange" singer appears to yell at Adcock through the fence and push against it, saying, "Hey, do you want to fight like a man? ... open the gate." After climbing over, security moved Adcock back from Bryan as he approached.
Now, Adcock is calling out Bryan on his social media accounts, defending his decision not to fight, saying in a video: "I don't think anyone's scared of Zach Bryan."
Zach Bryan confronts Gavin Adcock amid brewing feud
According to Rolling Stone, the feud began in July when Adcock called out Bryan for saying fans shouldn't feel entitled to photos with him after his concerts.
"If you can’t handle the criticism of a 14-year-old why do people idolize you?" Adcock posted to X on July 22. "That kid was head over heels to meet you and spent/ parents spent a ton of money to see you." In August, while on Rolling Stone's "Nashville Now" podcast, Adcock had more to say:
"I think that Zach Bryan puts on a big mask in his day-to-day life and sometimes he can't help but rip it off and show his true colors," Adcock told Rolling Stone. "I don't know if Zach Bryan's really that great of a person."
Adcock's short clip of the altercation on his social media accounts saw mixed reactions. Some users criticized Adcock for backing away from Bryan with his security: "Dude climbed barbed wire and called you out and you backed down," one user posted. Others called Bryan "unhinged."
In a second post, Adcock said that he was intentionally trying to "stir" Bryan up but didn't want to fight him.
"No artist that cares about their fans is going to fight right before their set, missing going on and disappointing fans that spent way too much money to be there," Adcock said in a video. "I wasn't even mad, didn't even have a reason to fight him."
He also defended his decision to back away, saying he didn't want to risk jail time or a lawsuit and alleging Bryan "likes to manipulate people with money." In November, Bryan's ex-girlfriend Brianna LaPaglia told listeners on her "BFFs Podcast" that she turned down a $12 million NDA after their breakup, alleging Bryan emotionally abused her.
