Toronto police say multiple people were sent to hospital Sunday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in North York.
The collision happened just before 3:30 p.m. near Yonge Street and Churchill Avenue. Three pedestrians and the driver of the vehicle were transported to hospital by Toronto Paramedic Services, police said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Paramedics confirmed they transported four people to hospital. Two of the patients were in critical condition, paramedics told CBC Toronto Sunday.
The vehicle remained on scene at Yonge Street and Churchill Avenue, Toronto Police Service said in a social media post .
As of 4 p.m., police said several roads were closed in the area of the incident.
