MINNEAPOLIS — Annunciation Catholic School will welcome back students, three weeks after a shooting at the church left two kids dead and more than a dozen hurt.
The school is resuming some on-campus activities beginning this Tuesday, a spokesperson for the parish said. There will be "activities centered on support, connection, and play."
Students on the morning of Aug. 27 were attending a back-to-school Mass when a 23-year-old shot through the windows, striking students and adults who were also in the pews. Two students, Fletcher Merkel and Harper Moyski, died in the shooting. Twelve-year-old Sophia Forchas remains hospitalized in serious condition.
There will be support services and a "visible security presence" at the school this upcoming week, the spokesperson said. School lea
