MONROE, La. (KNOE) - On September 14, 1955, Little Richard walked into J&M Studio in New Orleans and recorded “Tutti Frutti”. His break-out hit record was influenced by gospel and blues.

His high energy, flamboyant stage presence made him an instant star. In 1986, he was introduced into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame. He died on May 9, 2020.
