The Toledo Mud Hens capped off the home portion of their 2025 schedule on a high note as they held off the Louisville Bats 5-4 on Sunday at Fifth Third Field.

Toledo improved to 79-65 overall, including 40-29 in the second half of the season. The Mud Hens are still in the hunt by a slim margin for a spot in the International League Championship Series entering the final series of the regular season.

Scranton Wilkes/Barre (45-24) holds a five-game lead over Toledo with six games left, while Syracuse (42-27) is also ahead of the Mud Hens. The winner of the second half of the season will face Jacksonville in the best-of-three championship series beginning Sept. 23.
