A post office in Northeast Philadelphia was renamed in honor of Sergeant Christopher David Fitzgerald of the Temple University Police Department, who was killed in the line of duty in 2023.
Members of law enforcement, as well as friends and family of Fitzgerald, were on hand for the unveiling of the renamed post office on Bustleton Avenue on Sunday.

In addition to renaming the post office, a plaque was placed at the site in Fitzgerald's honor.
"It breaks my heart that he is not here physically to see this, but he deserves it all and more," said Marissa Fitzgerald, his wife.
