STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — You know summer is starting to change over to fall as Halloween (and even some Christmas) decorations beginning taking over store shelves and residents are lugging them out of their garages and attics in anticipation of the holiday season.
Mother nature, on the other hand, isn’t necessarily ready to pack up her short-sleeved shirts and loungewear, as things look bright for the upcoming work week — at least according to the National Weather Service .
Monday is expected to be a warm one with mostly sunny skies and a high about 80 degrees as the kids return for the second full week of classes. Later on, things are expected to cool down a bit to around 61 degrees at night and patchy fog during the early morning hours heading into Tuesday.
