The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that a German man who will soon be released from prison and who is a major person of interest in both British and German investigations into the disappearance of British toddler Madeleine McCann , is refusing to be interviewed as part of their ongoing inquiry.
DCI Mark Cranwell, Senior Investigating Officer for the Met’s investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, confirmed that Christian Brueckner, 49, remains a suspect in their own investigation.
He said: “We have requested an interview with this German suspect, but, for legal reasons, this can only be done via an International Letter of Request, which has been submitted. It was subsequently refused by the suspect. New Feature
