INDIANAPOLIS — One person was killed following a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on Indy's north side.

According to a release from IMPD, around 4:04 p.m. on Sept. 13, officers were called to the intersection of West 43rd Street and North Meridian Street on the north side of Indianapolis on a report of a two-vehicle personal injury crash.

When officers arrived, they found one of the occupants of one of the vehicles had been ejected during the crash. They were taken to a local hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.

Police believe one of the vehicles was traveling southbound on Meridian Street when it struck a vehicle that was traveling westbound on 43rd Street. Police say the deceased victim was a passenger in the car that was traveling west on 43rd Street.
