Jets quarterback Justin Fields suffered a concussion during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 30-10 loss against the Bills.

With 12:03 remaining, Fields was sacked by Joey Bosa , and he exited the field and went into the Jets medical tent to be evaluated.

The back of Fields’ head hit the turf and backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor replaced him. Jets coach Aaron Glenn confirmed in his postgame press conference that Fields is in concussion protocol, leaving his status for next Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers in doubt.

“Still have to evaluate that,” Glenn said about Fields.

After an encouraging game against the Steelers in which the Jets lost 34-32 in Week 1 , Fields struggled before leaving the game. He completed just 3-of-11 passes for 27 yards.
