Police have issued a renewed appeal for information about a “deliberate” hit-and-run in Melbourne’s southwest that left a teenage boy with serious injuries.

A group of people were walking along Margaret St in Werribee at about 3.45pm on August 10 when a car mounted the footpath and drove at them, police say.

The vehicle struck a 15-year-old Wyndham boy, who suffered serious leg injuries and needed surgery.

Victoria Police say they believe the collision was “deliberate”.
