LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Nine local junior golfers have won the opportunity to compete at the Augusta National Golf Club.
On Sunday, roughly 100 girls and boys from the surrounding area competed at Valhalla Golf Club in the Drive, Chip, and Putt Regional Qualifier.
Drive, Chip, and Putt is a national youth golf competition for ages 7 to 15. Golfers can participate in the free competition and advance through local competitions up to the National Finals.
Girls and boys compete in separate divisions and compete in their designated age group: 7-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15.
The winners of each age group in both divisions advance to the National Finals, held the Sunday before the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.
