Picking up winning sweeps is becoming a matter of routine for the Colorado volleyball team.

The Buffaloes kept their undefeated start intact Sunday, sweeping the University of Denver in a 25-20, 25-23, 25-15 victory in the final match of the Buffs Invitational at the CU Events Center.

CU improved to 9-0, matching the 2021 team for the best start in 10 seasons under head coach Jesse Mahoney. The Buffs have posted sweeps in seven of those wins, and after losing the opening set against Arkansas on Friday, CU didn’t drop another set through the remainder of the Buffs Invitational. Colorado also swept Toledo on Saturday.

Sunday’s victory also improved CU’s all-time mark against DU to 12-1, with 12 consecutive wins since the Pioneers won the teams’ first matchup in 1986.
