Too bad it wasn't a night game.
Seattle Kraken captain Jordan Eberle showed up at T-Mobile Park to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Mariners hosted the Los Angeles Angles on Sunday.
Eberle showed up wearing the Kraken's brand new alternate jersey, which were made to glow in the dark in a nod to deep sea creatures .
The pitch, to Mariners reliever Casey Legumina, was right on target.
Eberle wasn't rolling solo. Kraken forward Frederick Gaudreau took in his first Mariners game on Sunday, an 11-2 victory for the home team.
After the pitch, Eberle, who had since donned a No. 7 Mariners home white jersey, handed the Kraken sweater over to Legumina.
Maybe next time the Mariners can take advantage of the retractable roof to make the jersey glow.
