Eight-Vehicle Pileup Shuts Down Brevard County Highway for Hours

A chaotic wrong-way crash on northbound Interstate 95 early Sunday morning resulted in the deaths of three people and caused a massive, eight-vehicle pileup that closed a section of the highway for nearly 10 hours. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) confirmed that the deadly chain of events began around 3:50 a.m. just south of Wickham Road.

The tragic incident unfolded when a 2020 Toyota Corolla, traveling south in the northbound lanes, collided head-on with a 2014 Chevrolet Impala.

The impact was catastrophic, leading to a domino effect involving six more vehicles—a Hyundai Tiburon, a Honda CR-V, a 2025 Toyota Corolla, a Volvo XC60, a Honda Civic, and a Ford Escape.
