The exam school admissions debate split the BPS community across the city once again, as the superintendent and School Committee members take steps towards new policy changes this fall.

“Our district goal remains the same, to create an equitable and transparent policy that ensures all students have an opportunity for a seat at one of the exam schools within the city this time around,” said Superintendent Mary Skipper before the School Committee on Wednesday. “However, it’s important to me that we have a stable policy that will be left alone for a period of years.”
