Tonight, several performers on the Emmys red carpet are using all of the eyes on them to advocate for Palestine and call for an immediate ceasefire in the country’s war with Israel. Some wore buttons, Meg Stalter used her purse, and Javier Bardem even showed up in a keffiyeh — and they all looked great.

Hannah Einbinder, Ruth Negga, Chris Perfetti, and Aimee Lou Wood all showed up to the awards show wearing red Artists4Ceasefire pins.

Stalter went for an even bigger statement. As part of her laidback look, she carried a purse that read “CEASEFIRE!” in black marker. When asked about it, the Hacks star said that it was important to use an event like the Emmys to speak out. “It’s the most important [sic] to stick up for people and for peace, and to ask for an end to war,” Stalter told
