Two pedestrians are fighting for their life, while another suffered serious injuries after a vehicle struck three people Sunday afternoon in North York.

The driver was also hospitalized after his vehicle – reportedly a blue Volvo travelling southbound on Yonge St. – veered off the roadway for “unknown reasons,” CP24 reported, just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection with Churchill Ave.

The Volvo stuck three people standing on the sidewalk, the report said.

A man and a woman in their mid-20s to early 30s suffered life-threatening injuries, while a woman about the same age suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to Insp. Dan Pravica, via CP 24.
