SALT LAKE CITY — Details about the public memorial service to be held for activist and author Charlie Kirk were announced on Saturday.

On X , Kirk's non-profit organization Turning Point USA posted that a service will be held on Sept. 21, 2025, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Kirk, a popular political activist, was fatally shot on Wednesday at a "Prove Me Wrong" event held that afternoon on the campus of Utah Valley University. After a single gunshot was fired from a nearby rooftop, Kirk was rushed to Timpanogos Regional Hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

Officials questioned and released two people before the suspected shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was taken into custody around 10 p.m. on Sept. 11. He was booked into Utah County Jail
