ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - It’s been one month since the city of St. Louis ended alley recycling and switched to drop-off location bins. But at several sites across the city, those blue containers are already overflowing.
“It’s a mess, it makes me miss alley recycling,” said resident Joe Kaminski.
Mary Stenger said she was surprised to find the bins so full.
“Turning the corner and seeing you guys and this being super full was a little bit of a shock for sure.”
For Rob Kaminski, who lives near a drop-off location, the problem is how quickly the bins fill up.
“A little frustrating, it makes recycling harder because I want to make sure everything is in there and doesn’t come out.”
He says several times he’s walked over to find the bins unemptied.
“About three or four times, it’s
