On Sunday night, Owen Cooper, 15, who made his debut acting in the Netflix crime drama Adolescence, became the youngest male actor to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie.

In his acceptance speech, Cooper revealed only started drama classes a couple of years ago and encouraged those watching to step out of their comfort zones.

The milestone comes four decades after Roxana Zal, 14, became the youngest female winner of the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Limited Series Or Special in 1984 for Something About Amelia, according to the website for the awards.
