That said, Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald isn't leaving anything to chance as his squad prepares to face the notoriously vocal New York fans.

Fresh off the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth , Donald's team headed straight to New York for practice rounds at Bethpage. But this year, they packed more than just clubs.

As reported by Nuclr Golf on X , Donald has equipped his players with virtual reality headsets designed to simulate the sights, sounds, and heckling they'll face from outside the ropes.

Rory McIlroy, who fired a final-round 65 at Wentworth, weighed in on the tech after Sunday's finish.
