SEATTLE —

Racing Louisville midfielder Savannah DeMelo was transported to a local hospital in Seattle following a mid-game medical emergency.

The game between Racing Louisville and Seattle Reign has been postponed.

DeMelo received immediate on-field medical care and, according to a statement posted to Racing Lou’s X account, she is stable and alert.

The game will be rescheduled at a later date, and the team says they will release updates as appropriate.

Seattle Reign said in a statement that they are standing with the team during this time.

The National Women’s Soccer League also posted a statement about the match.

The NWSL states that they are in close communication with the team and are committed to providing the best possible medical care and emergency response at all NWSL matche
