U.S. Air Force officials have announced the arrival of a second B-21 Raider stealth bomber at Edwards Air Force base for testing as the U.S. prepares to place its state-of-the-art stealth strategic bomber into service.

The high-tech bomber has been developed in secrecy, with the first test flights beginning in the skies above Southern California's High Desert in May of 2024. The first video footage of the airframe in flight was released in September of 2024.

The additional of a second B-21 for the Air Force's 412th Test Wing and 420th Flight Test Squadron to study and refine will accelerate the aircraft's development significantly, according to Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink.
