A northern Tasmanian man on trial for murder says he did not realise his friend had allegedly stabbed a man, until someone asked where "all that blood came from".
Brothers Luke Anthony Shaw, 34, and Paul William Shaw, 35, and co-accused Patrick Kenneth Dolbey, 40, are on trial in Launceston Supreme Court for the alleged murder of David Wayne Jenkins, in George Town, on October 22, 2022.
They have all pleaded not guilty, with lawyers arguing self-defence or defence of others.

The trial's fifth day focused on Mr Dolbey, with jurors played a tape of his police interview, recorded hours after the alleged murder.
The court heard from witnesses who saw the co-accused before and after the incident.
