The team at Ricky Hatton's local pub have paid tribute to a 'friend' who 'loved people no matter what'.

Tributes have poured in for 'The Hitman', who was tragically found dead at his home in Gee Cross, Hyde , on Sunday morning (September 14).

The 46-year-old was loved by boxing fans in Greater Manchester and around the world, with the Stockport-born fighter winning world titles in two weight divisions during the 2000s.

But in the corner of Greater Manchester that Ricky called home, the sporting icon was a pal who was generous with his time and 'never changed' - even turning up to the pub 'in roller boots' after appearing on ITV's Dancing on Ice last year.
