Cindy Richardson, a lifelong dog lover from California, has always had a special place in her heart for Weimaraners. Over the past fifty years, she has raised only four litters, never thinking of herself as a professional breeder.

Recently, her most recent litter reached eight weeks old and was ready to begin searching for families of their own. As always, Richardson carefully interviewed adopters, spending time with them and meeting every member of the household to ensure each pup went to a safe and loving home.

One little boy named Shadow was among the lucky pups to be chosen. But just a day after heading off to what was supposed to be his forever home, he was suddenly brought back. The reason his new family gave left Richardson absolutely floored.
