The Florida Department of Transportation has announced that the rest area on southbound Interstate 75 in Ocala (near mile marker 346) will be closed from 9 p.m. Sept. 17 to 9 a.m. Sept. 18 so crews can resurface the rest area's exit and entrance ramps.

Need a break? There are southbound rest areas at mile marker 382 in Alachua County and another at mile marker 308 in Sumter County.
