At Florida State University, law students will start contributing to these efforts with a hands-on approach.
And a state Supreme Court finalist will lead them.
The university, near the Florida Capitol, announced a First Amendment legal clinic over the summer. Denise Harle began her role as its head in early August as the clinic aims to provide pro bono legal representation for First Amendment cases across the country.
Harle, an attorney with strong conservative credentials, joined FSU with a legal background intertwined with Florida politics.
