The man behind a long-running comic strip featuring a cantankerous hillbilly will share his experiences and drawings as part of a weekend art event in Danville.
John Rose, who since 2001 has been the cartoonist for the Barney Google and Snuffy Smith strip, will be at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History at 1 p.m. Sunday for what he calls a “Chalk Talk.”
The presentation will be on the second day of the two-day Art on the Lawn festival that the museum hosts each year.
His talk will be part of the Reflections of Home Arts Festival, something put on by the Ruby B. Archie Public Library. The event is free, and registration is available online.
