A young Lewis Capaldi fan was reduced to tears when the "icon" dedicated a song to him during his Hydro opener at the weekend.

"It's good to be home, Glasgow", shouted the 28-year-old star as he made his homecoming debut at the sold-out event in front of 14,000 fans on Saturday and Sunday.

After a two-year hiatus from music, Lewis returned to the city to perform what he said was his longest set list ever, on September 13, and proved that he is part and parcel of the city's heart.

Amongst the tens of thousands of fans in attendance was nine-year-old Michael Gilfeather, who was accompanied by mum Lindsey Newman and aunt Shannon.
