Fremantle legend Matthew Pavlich has revealed how his family feel about the move to Sydney while pledging allegiance to his old club as he steps into one of the biggest jobs in football.

The 353-gamer was announced on Wednesday as the new chief executive for the Sydney Swans in a shock move that will see the greatest Docker of all time trade in purple for red.

Despite building an established reputation in the media after retirement, Pavlich said he belonged back in the league.
