PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- It’s nearly time to let the dogs out.
Parma Heights Mayor Marie Gallo and Parma Mayor Tim DeGeeter recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to construct a gated one-acre dog park at Reservoir Park in Parma Heights.
“We’re grateful to have partnerships like we do with the city of Parma and with Cuyahoga County, which is helping to fund this project,” Parma Heights Mayor Marie Gallo said. “We’re looking to start construction this year with an anticipated opening date sometime next spring.
“Residents of both cities have had an interest in a dog park now for quite some time. This project provides another amenity for our communities to enjoy.”
While the park was announced last year, construction was predicated on funding.
