Vice President JD Vance says he will host Charlie Kirk's podcast on Sept. 15, days after the conservative activist was shot and killed while speaking at an event at a Utah college on Sept. 10.

"Tomorrow, I will have the honor of hosting the Charlie Kirk Show. Please join me as I pay tribute to my friend," Vance wrote in a post on X on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Kirk, 31, the founder of Turning Point USA , was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on Sept. 10. Police arrested 22-year-old Utah resident Tyler Robinson as a suspect in the shooting.

Vance, a longtime friend of Kirk's, escorted his body to Phoenix, Arizona, on Air Force Two on Sept. 11.
